Personal Style Two: Snow Day

Its hard to believe that a week ago I was sitting on the beach enjoying tropical drinks out of a coconut, and today Im sitting in the library watching the snow come down.

Hopefully this is the last of it and the sunshine is on its way.

Fashionology

This past Thursday, Fashionology celebrated the grand opening for the spring semester.
I was fortunate enough to stop by the event and check it out.

Fashionology, is the student run boutique here at Marist. Structured as a 3 credit class, the students run and produce everything themselves, under the supervision and guidance of Lydia Biskup, a member of the Fashion Programs faculty. The students make frequent trips to Manhattan to go into market and manage their own accounts, with an open to buy. This semester they have also expanded to using e-commerce, and have established on online shopping website.

The boutique offers a wide variety of accessories including; sunglasses, jewelry, handbags, fragrances, and much more.

I was lucky enough to catch Erika Rosborg, one of the students running Fashionology this semester. Erika is a Senior merchandising major at Marist, and is currently interning at Kenneth Cole in Manhattan in the buying department. "Working Fashionology has provided me with the hands on practice I needed to be confident and successful at my internship".

Erika Rosborg, '11

Fashionology is open on Thursdays from 10:30am- 6:00pm. Located outside of the Fashion Department in Donnelly Hall. I highly recommend stopping by.
